Fundraising & Event Planning
for Non-Event Planners
A nonprofit fundraising event can truly
be fun to plan and organize, particularly
when it pays off in real dividends to your
charity, PTA, church, or other nonprofit.
This workshop will give you an overview
of the dos and don’ts for creating and
running your successful event. Discuss the
types of events and how to determine what
type will work best for your market. Learn
all about sponsorship and creating long-
term relationships. Explore novel ways of
fundraising and the power of the 501(c)
(3). Class is a combination of presentation
and workshop; class will include a group
activity in which students work together to
plan their own event and receive help and
discussion from the instructor and class.

Event Planning and Consulting, is the
community outreach coordinator for the
Women’s Crisis and Family Outreach Center
where she cultivates donors and sponsors
and handles third-party event planning.
Recently, she raised over $100K at a gala
