NEW!
Cannabis Growing 101
Colorado adults now have the legal right
to grow up to six cannabis plants in their
residence with no permit or license needed.
This means that you can save $1500 a year
just by growing your own. This class is a
packed 5-hour seminar on how to set up
a legal, safe, and efficient recreational or
medical cannabis grow area in your home
or apartment. Just a 5x5 foot space can
produce a year’s worth of legal, organic,
soil-grown cannabis in just 3-4 months.
Class covers it all; soil, set up, lighting,
ventilation, seedlings/cloning, fertilizing,
problem solving, harvesting and more.
David DeGraff
, CEO and Founder of “The
Grow School” teaches this GROW-101
class. There is a lot of (often contradictory)
information on the Internet about growing,
but this class takes you step by step through
a tried and true method for Colorado home
growers. The materials fee is for a 140-page
eBook reference guide and tuition includes
free gardening support for a year after class.

Backyard Farming 101
Finding What’s Right for You
There’s a buzz in urban and suburban
gardening called homesteading, but it’s sure
not the old-fashioned idea of setting up a
lean-to on the prairie and plowing up sod.
Come learn what the new homesteading
is all about, from backyard agriculture to
raising animals, bee keeping, permaculture,
herbs, and the various cottage industries
that can grow out of these pursuits.
Discover the 6 requirements for happy
homesteading and take a short quiz and
find out where your interests lie (it might
surprise you). Leave knowing what steps to
take to start transforming your little house
on the high prairie to a rich and rewarding
lifestyle.
Vikki Walton
works in the nonprofit
world by day, but has been a serious
gardener for over 20 years, keeps bees
and chickens, and recently received her
permaculture design certificate. She also
preserves her gardens bounty and makes
personal products, tinctures, and salves
from her herbs.

Design Your Own Landscape
Your yard and gardens are an extension
of your home and you want them to be an
expression of your tastes and personality.

your current landscape and identify what
you want. Explore how to blend with the
architecture of your home, your personality
and needs, and choose the colors you
love. During the second session of the
class, share your design ideas and get
feedback on your preliminary plan. Owner

Mongo Downsizing
Make a Fresh Start in a Big Way
There’s a lot of buzz these days about “downsizing” or shrinking your possessions
to fit into a more modest square footage. A few intrepid folks are doing it, but more
often it means renting a really BIG storage locker. Why is it so hard to figure out? First,
need to deal with our emotional attachments to our stuff. To move forward with less
space and fewer possessions, we need a compelling vision for a new self and a new
life. Join long time CFU teacher Kevin Rhodes to learn strategies he and his wife used
to downsize, happily, from a spacious 3-bed/bath home to a one-bedroom apartment.
Discover the mini-dumpster method of dealing with kids’ rooms, what to do about all
those old books and photographs (and even Grandma’s tea set) and most importantly,
the one key issue that MUST be addressed before downsizing is even possible. You
won’t be given a directory of thrift stores or consignment shops (to take home and
further clutter your space), but by the end of class, you’ll know where to start and how
to see it all through.
Kevin Rhodes
is a lawyer, coach, writer, and blogger who’s on a
mission to help people and organizations make positive, conscious change. Join him
for this eye-opening workshop and explore making your life infinitely bigger by making
your footprint smaller.
