Calling all Game of Thrones fans, weapons buffs, martial
artists, history nuts, and the just plain curious! You know
who you are. Join CFU’s resident scholar of all things
mysterious and magickal for a really fascinating hands-
on look at one of the oldest weapons in the human
experience: the noble sword. Instructor
Will Christy
shares his collection of swords that span history from
the Roman Empire to the twentieth century and talks
about the myth, magick, history, and lore of the sword
and swordsmanship. He’ll also discuss the sword’s role
in the Hero’s Journey, an archetypal theme used widely
in literature, film, and mythology. Come and touch the past with Will Christy, a certified
United States Fencing Association instructor with over thirty five years of experience in
historic European martial arts.
