NEW! Trash to Treasure
The Art of Mixed Media Altered
Objects
Let your creativity go
wild. Mixed media is
an art form using a
variety of techniques
and materials, including
paint, paper, glass,
metal, stencils, modeling
paste, and other
materials, many of which
you can find at home. In this fun, interactive
workshop, you’ll learn how to apply these
techniques and materials to transform
everyday objects into works of art. Learn
how to properly prepare your surface, layer
your object with paper, magazine pages,
and even napkins. Use stencils and stamps
to make your project uniquely yours.
Finally, add embellishments for a finished
look. No artistic experience or talent is
needed.

Learn to Crochet
Release Your Inner Hooker!
Crochet is an easy and inexpensive craft
that has been around for centuries, but
has been gaining popularity in the past few
years with “hookers” of all ages! Using only
yarn and a hook, you can create delicate
doilies to decorate your table or thick, wooly
scarves to romp in the snow. Beginners will
learn about selecting yarn and hooks, how
to estimate the skeins you’ll need, and how
to read a pattern. You’ll practice how to
hold the yarn and hook, tie a slip stitch, and
single, double, and triple stitches.
Theresa
Cashman
has been crocheting for six years.
An experienced teacher, she uses a variety
of teaching tools to help you get the knack
of this rewarding and stress-reducing craft.

and a whole lot more fun learning from
