College of Law, her master’s
in urban planning from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-
Champaign and her bachelor’s
in education and social policy
from Northwestern University.
Michael J. Meacher
also is
a member of the firm’s real
estate, development and con-
struction industry team. He
focuses his practice around
commercial real estate transac-
tions, including the acquisition,
financing, development, leas-
ing and disposition of shop-
ping centers, office buildings,
residential and commercial
condominiums, and industrial
properties. He has experience
representing landlords and ten-
ants in all manners of leasing
transactions across all property
types. Meacher received his
Juris Doctor from Washington
and Lee University School
of Law and his bachelor’s in
animal biology from the Uni-
versity of British Columbia in
Vancouver, British Columbia,
Canada.

estate firm.
Hurtado will be a principal
of the firm, bringing 33 years of
commercial
real estate
experience.
Most recently
he was with
Hurtado
Consulting
Group, which
he formed to
provide proj-
ect manage-
ment, facility
support and design services
to major corporations. Clients
included Westwood College,
Chevron Products Co., Grease
Monkey International, Shell
Operations U.S., First Data,
R.H. Donnelley and Western
Union. Hurtado’s background
is diverse and includes experi-
ence managing the Federal
Express worldwide real estate
portfolio, construction of FedEx
facilities outside the U.S., and
the development and imple-
mentation of a master plan for
the J.D. Edwards world head-
quarters in Denver. As senior
vice president of network oper-
ations at ICG Communications,
he directed one of the largest
telecommunications data net-
work rollouts ever completed.
Hurtado holds a Master of
Business Administration as
well as a Master of Science in
telecommunications and infor-
mation systems management
from Christian Brothers Univer-
sity and a Bachelor of Science
in mechanical engineering from
the University of Memphis.
McCombs will serve as a
senior vice president. She
brings nine years of commercial
real estate and 15 years of con-
struction management experi-
ence in the Denver market-
place. She has spent her entire
real estate brokerage career
focusing on the industrial sec-
tor and will continue to do so
at Avison.
Prior to joining the firm, she
spent five years as a broker
in the logistics and industrial
group at JLL. Before moving to
JLL, she was an industrial real
estate broker with Cushman &
Wakefield and a tenant repre-
sentation specialist with Cresa.
McCombs entered the commer-
cial real estate industry after
spending 15 years with Turner
Construction Co. McCombs
holds a Bachelor of Science in
mechanical engineering from
Vanderbilt University.
Pedigo will serve as a project
manager. She brings more than
five years of project manage-
ment experience to Avison
Young. She joins the firm from
Hurtado Consulting, where she
served as a project manager for
two years, working closely with
David Hurtado. While with
Hurtado Consulting, she per-
formed site surveys, developed
the scope of work for bids,
provided bid analysis for cli-
ents, and worked directly with
vendors and contractors as an
owner representative. In con-
junction with these responsibili-
ties, she ordered and tracked
materials and equipment;
managed project schedules and
budgets; and provided con-
struction administration. Before
moving to Hurtado Consult-
ing, Pedigo spent three years at
Ricoh USA as an onsite move
coordinator for Western Union.
Pedigo currently is completing
a Bachelor of Science degree in
business administration from
the University of Phoenix.

Adloff joined the firm in 2008.
He received his Juris Doctor
from the University of Iowa,

His under-
graduate

Colorado
College is in
comparative
literature. As
a member
of the firm’s litigation and real
estate practice groups, Adloff
will continue to represent bank-
ing, real estate, development
and business clients in con-
nection with their commercial
disputes and real estate trans-
actions, including acquisitions
and dispositions of real proper-
ty, leasing, financing, real estate
related litigation, loan disputes,
landlord-tenant disputes, con-
demnation cases and other
commercial litigation.
Sommers moved to the com-
mercial law firm from another
law firm in 2011. She earned
her Juris Doctor from the
University of Colorado Law
School. Sommers received her
undergraduate degree from
Northwest-
ern Univer-
sity. She is
part of the
firm’s real
estate and
real estate
finance prac-
tice groups.
Her practice
will continue
to focus on
the represen-
tation of real estate developers
and commercial property own-
ers in all aspects of their real
estate transactions, including
acquisitions and dispositions
of real property and leasing,
as well as retail and mixed-use
development.

Zane Dennis, CPA,
joined
local accounting firm
Richey
May & Co.
as a new tax partner
and real estate practice leader.
Over the course of his 25-year
career, Dennis has provided tax,
accounting, business and finan-
cial advice to real estate busi-
nesses both as an accountant
and as a chief financial officer
for a private
equity group
focused on
commercial
real estate.
He also has
participated
in the dis-
position,
acquisition
and financing
of billions of
dollars of real estate, both in the
U.S. and internationally.
Dennis graduated from Sam
Houston State University with
a degree in accounting.
