Buddhism for Everyday Life
While Buddhism is classified as a religion,
many recognize that the time-honored
Buddhist teachings are more about a way
of life than a religion. There is no deity in
Buddhism, so it can be easily integrated
into your life, whether you are practicing
another religion or not. The Buddha’s life
was all about compassion and looking at
ways to decrease suffering in ourselves and
in the world. The focus on mindfulness,
loving kindness, and creating true peace—
beginning with ourselves—has made a
sweet difference in many people’s lives,
and can make a difference in our world
at large. Come learn about Buddhist
teachings and practices in a relaxed and
open environment.
Val Stepien
has been
studying Buddhism for many years and
was ordained in Thich Nhat Hanh’s lineage
(the United Buddhist Church) in 2011. She
is a psychotherapist who integrates these
teachings and practices into her work with
clients and into all aspects of her life.

A Taste of Tarot
Reading tarot cards is a fun and fascinating
hobby, and it’s much easier to do than
you might expect. Explore the tarot using
a special reading mat designed by the
instructor. This reading mat allows you to
read like a pro in just one and a half hours.
This intro class will teach you some tarot
basics such as the significance of cards
known as the major and minor arcana and
how to ask questions to get the best results
(yes, it matters!). But a large chunk of class
is given to students doing readings for each
other as practice. You can purchase the
reading mat and/or cards for an additional
$35/$20 to take home, if you’d like. Either
way, this class gives you a solid introduction
to the cards and a great jumping off point
for more in-depth study.
Rochelle Fisher
has studied the tarot for many years and the
reading mat is a distillation of her studies.
Bring your own tarot cards if you’d prefer to
use your own deck.

Introduction to Animal
Communication
Animal communication is the act of
telepathically communicating or ‘talking’
with animals. Discover what this work is
about, who can do this work, what animals
say through presented case studies in
the realm of behavior, health, deceased
pets, lost pets and relationships. Hear
about the basic key concepts required in
order for a communicator to send and
receive information with animals. See a
demonstration of the work through random
mini readings conducted in class and
learn practical tips that would allow you
to deepen your connection with your own
pet at home. Be informed of the steps to
take, if interested in pursuing this work
yourself. Bring photos of your pets to class.
Danielle Tremblay
is a practicing animal
communicator working with clients across
the country, since 2006.
