efforts to support
the list of charities
they donate to
both locally and
throughout
the
state of Mississippi.
Dollars that our
auxiliary manages
to raise in our
separate activities are often donated to the men’s council
itself in efforts to maintain the KOC Hall which is of utmost
importance in raising funds to donate to the council’s
designated charities.
The Ladies Auxiliary has charitiesof its own that are
donated to through the annual budget and holds various
fundraisers throughout the year. Our auxiliary holds
two semi-annual White Elephant “auctions” at the knights’
family socials, prepares the meal in conjunction
with Picayune On Stage Dinner Plays at the KOC Hall,
and Bunko games w/dinner for the community held in
the St. Charles Borromeo Parish Hall.
Our newest endeavor to bring an entertaining activity to
the community while raising funds for our own regular
recipientsis the Ladies Auxiliary Annual Art & Craft
Market Place Event at the Knights of Columbus Hall,
408 Carrol Street. It is always held on the second weekend
of March and in 2016 it will fall on Friday and Saturday,
March 11 and March 12, from 9:am until 4:pm each day.
Tables and booths are still available for artists to reserve and
a lunch is included for each contracted day.
The ladies, who are all great cooks, will have wonderful
specialty dishes and desserts for sale as well as a parade
of prizes and free door prizes awarded every hour.
The Knights of Columbus and KOC Ladies Auxiliary
are non-profit organizations and all proceeds are donated
to charity.
