Cheeks will be responsible

projects and

He also will
assist with

processes and adopt an internal
operations role.
He has more than 20 years of
professional experience in the
interior design and architecture
industry, including serving
as studio manager at Ware
Malcomb, principal of Mark
Cheeks Interiors and working
for Rocky Mountain Prestress.
His background includes cre-
ative design solutions, project
and staff management, market-
ing and business development,
and financial operations.
The firm also added
Nathan
Applegate,
information tech-
nology manager, and
Jennifer
Schmidt,
interior designer.
Applegate will work with
designers and clients to draft
commercial interiors for tenant
improve-
ments and
new building
construction.
He brings
more than
seven years of
experience in
drafting in the
architecture,
engineering
and telecom-
munications industries to the
role. Schmidt is responsible for
project administration, lease
exhibits, space planning, vendor
collaboration and submitting
request for proposals. She has
more than 10 years of profes-
sional experience in residential
and commercial interior design
and business development.
Before joining the Elsy team,
Applegate served as a design
engineer for Allstate Fire Pro-
tection Inc. as well as drafting
technician for QC Data, a com-
pany that provides data-centric
services to support asset man-
agement, engineering and con-
struction works, and property
management. He holds a bach-
elor’s degree in linguistics from
BrighamYoung University and a
certificate in CAD Drafting.
Prior to Elsy, Schmidt devel-
oped her organizational skills
in interior design for Waring
Associates and Burkett Design in
Denver. Schmidt holds a bach-
elor’s degree
in interior
design from
the Univer-
sity of North
Texas in
Denton and
successfully
completed
the AutoCAD
program from
Arapahoe
Community College.

Timothy McCabe, PE, LEED
AP

office with seven years of experi-
ence as an electrical engineer.
He is a member of the National
Council of Examiners for Engi-
neering and Surveying and
served as the assistant director of
electrical engineering at his pre-
vious firm. He has a bachelor’s
degree in electrical engineering
fromMarquette University.
Rahul Deodhar, PE,
joined the
metro Denver office as a mechan-
ical engineer. Deodhar has six
years of consulting engineering
experience in project manage-
ment, technical planning and
project delivery. His expertise is
in designs for heating, ventilation
and air conditioning, plumbing;
fire protection; and medical gas
systems. He also performs life-
cycle cost analysis and energy
modeling. Deodhar has a bach-
elor’s degree in mechanical engi-
neering from Purdue University
and a Master of Business Admin-
istration in project management
from Benedictine University.
Jeremy Johnson
joined the
metro Denver office as a mechan-
ical engineer with more than 13
years of experience in the HVAC
field. He has a bachelor’s degree
in mechanical engineering from
the University of Colorado and
brings a mix of formal education
and field experience to the posi-
tion.
Anthony Block
joined BGCE’s
Northern Colorado office with
seven years of experience as an
AutoCAD drafter in the architec-
tural/engineering industry. Block
studied architectural engineering
at the University of Wyoming
and later received an associate’s
degree in architectural computer-
aided design fromWestwood
College. He is a member of AIA
and is currently studying for
LEEDAP certification.

Recently, Hoyt led Valley-

Group’s mas-
ter planning

efforts for the
Stanly Ranch
Resort, a
95-acre resi-
dential resort
in Napa Val-
ley, California;
supported
various park planning and pro-
gramming efforts for the Great
Park Neighborhoods of Orange
County Great Park in Irvine,
California; and continues to
serve on the Aerotropolis Plan-
ning Team for Denver Interna-
tional Airport.

as partner.
Young joins the firm with

in landscape
architecture
and urban

park design

Prior to joining Oxbow, he

He earned a Bachelor of Land-
scape Architecture from the
