Furnishings recently completed
furnishing the office of technol-
ogy and consulting company
Flatirons Solutions.
The space, located at 5755 Cen-
tral Ave. in Boulder, is the new
global flagship for the company,
which will house approximately
100 employees.
Flatirons Solutions offers tech-
nology solutions to its customers
and wanted a more functional
and collaborative environment
that reflects its high-performance
culture, noted Jordy Carter Fur-
nishings. The goal of the office
redesign was to create a space
that supported innovation and
empowered employees to do
their best work in a variety of
settings.
“This project represented a
huge team effort – from collabo-
rating with the client to working
with the consultants and design-
ers to create the perfect layout
for the open floor plan,” said
Deborah Brownstein, account
manager of Jordy Carter Furnish-
ings. “The ultimate result is a
beautifully furnished space that
complements Flatirons Solutions’
branding and supports their cre-
ative approach to technology
solutions.”
For the project situated on two
floors, Brownstein worked close-
ly with a team of experts, includ-
ing Jordy Carter Furnishings
designer Heather Pabst, Cathey
Young of Catherine Young Inte-
rior Design Inc., independent
consultant Jim Vieth and Ryan
Hanneman of Railton McEvoy

Castle Rock-based MW
Golden Constructors recently
delivered $2 million worth of
improvements to the town of
Vail’s Lionshead parking struc-
ture.
The project entailed con-
structing a 116-foot-long by
51-foot-wide canopy above
the entrance to the parking
structure. The canopy, made
of Douglas fir, with decorative
supporting columns of wood
and stone, covers several new
parking attendant booths and
new entry and exit lanes. The
lanes feature a hydronic snow-
melt system, improving safety
and reducing snowfall mainte-
nance costs and efforts.
One thousand feet of hydron-
ic tubing was installed in the
new lanes. Anew skier drop-off
loop was added in the garage’s
lower level, which necessitated
cutting through existing foot-
thick concrete walls and rein-
forcing the structure. The proj-
ect was completed in two phas-
es with no construction activity
between the end of June and
beginning of September so the
garage could be used for the
summer tourist season.
“With the upcoming 2014-
2015 ski season and with Vail
hosting the 2015 Alpine World
Ski Championships, there
could be no delays on this proj-
ect. Our crews worked hard to
complete the project early and
on budget,” said Jason Golden,
MWGC vice president. “Credit
the town of Vail. The project
went smoothly because the
town of Vail has great people
that are so easy to work with,”
added project superintendent
Frank McCormick.
Zehren and Associates Inc.
of Avon performed the design
work for the project.
