On the Town
Let’s Go Cuba!
Land of Mystery & Beauty
The decades-long barriers to traveling to
Cuba are rapidly collapsing, so it’s a great
time to learn more about this mysterious
island and what you need to know to make
it your next travel destination. Discuss a bit
about the history of Cuba, the revolution,
the embargo and blockade as well as the
current Cuba demographics (population,
living conditions, medical, education, crime
(lack of), and ration stores). Explore what
is happening with the normalization of
Cuba/USA relations and what that means
for the average traveler. Enjoy a picture
presentation of hundreds of photos taken
within Cuba. This informational course can’t
tell you how to get there or where to stay,
but will give you a good overview of the
country and the changes that are coming
for travelers visiting Cuba. Taught by
Frank
Slater
, CEO, International Guide Academy,
who since 2012 has been legally traveling
to Cuba with groups under the people-to-
people program. He has completed almost
20 tours within Cuba and is both a Certified
International Tour Manager and professional
photographer.

The Ghosts of Cheesman Park
There are more than 2,000 bodies buried
in Cheesman Park! The location of the
Changeling is adjacent to it. Bizarre events
sometimes occur there late at night, and
supposedly there is a spot in the park where
an object never casts a shadow at high
noon. Exactly what is going on, the history
of the park, its spirits, and nearby houses
are featured on this walking tour.
