Bryan Construction Inc., a

Colorado Springs-based con-

struction management and

general contracting firm,

announced that Terry Drahota

and his Fort Collins and Steam-

boat Springs-based construc-

tion operations will become

part of an operating group

of Bryan Construction, doing

business as Drahota – A Bryan

Construction Co. out of Fort

Collins.

Bryan Construction will

maintain its brand, operating

as Bryan Construction out of its

Colorado Springs headquarters

along with its Denver location.

Bryan has also had a Fort Col-

lins office since 2005.

Scott Bryan, owner of Bryan

Construction, will serve as

CEO, with Terry Drahota,

founder of Drahota, acting as

president of the Fort Collins

operation. The combined oper-

ations will include more than

120 employees among the four

offices and will expand their

footprint throughout Colorado

and into Wyoming.

“This strategic alliance will

allow us to synergize our capa-

bilities and bring more services

to a wider market,” said Bryan.

“Drahota’s expertise, resources

and track record of high-quali-

ty projects throughout the Den-

ver and mountain regions, and

Wyoming – particularly in the

multifamily and resort areas –

will create a formidable entity

with broad reach, big capabili-

ties and high standards.”

“We’re proud to bring our

capabilities and history of ser-

vice to this merger,” added

Drahota. “We look forward

to achieving growth together

that we couldn’t have achieved

individually. Bryan Construc-

tion’s mix of expertise, rela-

tionships and history of quality

are a great fit for Drahota.”

The company will offer a

full suite of construction man-

agement and general con-

tracting services, including

design-build, design-assist,

CMGC and design-bid-build,

focused on commercial, civil,

industrial, federal, multifam-

ily, health care, recreation and

retail projects.

White Construction Group

recently broke ground on The

Move, an anticipated tech

building at 202 Sixth St. in Cas-

tle Rock.

The $10 million, 50,000-s

quare-foot building will fea-

ture a contemporary architec-

tural style creating a prominent

presence from the freeway and

the downtown area, noted

White Construction. Some of

the highlights featured in the

building includemultiple over-

head doors effectively bringing

the outdoors into the building,

modern energy-efficient MEP

systems to provide lower ener-

gy consumption, 74 parking

spaces with bicycle parking

and a large, open office floor

plan. The industrial features

and urban landscape design

makes this building unique to

the downtown area. The Move

will also be the first building

in downtown Castle Rock to

feature solar panels covering

approximately 8,646 sf of roof

area and offsetting about 20

percent of the electric energy

consumption.

Designed for companies

wanting to expand, the space

will be home to Where Food

Comes From Inc. and Digital

Globe Services Inc. (dgs).

“We couldn’t be more excit-

ed about our engagement with

The Move. This new building

not only gives us an opportu-

nity to expand our space, but

the unique attributes incorpo-

rating healthy living and sus-

tainability align perfectly with

our corporate objectives,” said

John Saunders, CEO of Where

Food Comes From Inc. “We

are a company built on the

verification of where and how

food is raised, which means

that we interact with a wide

range of clients – from the

wonderful farmers and ranch-

ers here in Colorado and all

over the U.S. to executives of

the largest food companies in

the world. As a result, we need

a space that is welcoming, ver-

satile, and represents exactly

who we are, and we know The

Move will give us the oppor-

tunity to achieve that.”

“It will benefit dgs in two

ways, one, it allows our teams

to work together in one space

and and, two, it establishes

the infrastructure to support

our current growth rate. It will

benefit the Castle Rock com-

munity because it will bring

new people here that will con-

sume products and enjoy all

that Castle Rock has to offer,”

added Jeff Cox, founder of dgs.

Barker Rinker Seacat Archi-

tecture designed the building.

Additional partners in the

project are Castle Rock Eco-

nomic Development Council,

the Town of Castle Rock, the

Castle Rock Downtown Devel-

opment Authority, Castle Rock

Bank, First Bank and Colorado

Lending Source.

White Construction breaks ground on The Move Studio Architecture to design senior care facility Elements partners with Workspace Innovations

Studio Architecture’s design

for a new senior care facil-

ity in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

received unanimous approval by

the city council and architectural

review board. Studio was select-

ed by Colorado and Wisconsin-

based Azura Living, a premier

memory care provider, to design

the project.

Construction is slated to

begin this summer on the

28,800-square-foot facility, which

incorporates several design con-

cepts considered to be highly

innovative in the memory care

industry, the firm noted.

Some of those innovations

include the creation of smaller

communities within the project

which are linked with intuitive

markers to provide residents the

opportunity to travel beyond

their neighborhood, looped cir-

culation corridors that will pro-

vide a safe environment for self-

directed resident navigation and

exploration, a memory café to

encourage family and guests to

relax and spend time within the

community, intuitive wayfinding

design elements integrating inte-

rior finishes, colors, artwork and

other visual connectivity devices

and relieve the stress associated

with wandering, low contrast

flooring to reduce the experience

of visual cliffs and integration of

Snoezelon multisensory environ-

ments into the project.
