healing powers of therapeutic touch.

Mindfulness 101
Skills for Living in Awareness
Mindfulness is the art of being fully present
for ourselves and for others so that we
can fully embrace our lives. Through its
practice we become less driven and more
centered. Drawing on the wisdom of an
ancient tradition, its helpful effects have
been validated by modern neuroscience.
Mindfulness gives tools to reduce stress,
manage emotions, increase focus, and
improve overall health. The ultimate benefit
is that you move through suffering to joy and
touch life more deeply and authentically.
With an emphasis on experiential exercises,
discussion, and home practice, students
will learn mindfulness practices and be
able to apply these to their daily lives.
