Planning for Non-Event
Planners
A nonprofit fundraising event can truly
be fun to plan and organize, particularly
when it pays off in real dividends to your
charity, PTA, church, or other nonprofit.
This workshop will give you an overview of
do’s and don’ts for creating and running
your successful event. Discuss the types
of events and how to determine what type
will work best for your market. Learn all
about sponsorship and how to create long-
term relationships. Explore novel ways of
fundraising and the power of the 501(c)
(3). Class is a combination of presentation
and workshop; class will include a group
activity in which students work together to
plan their own event and receive help and
discussion from the instructor and class.

professor of business and entrepreneurship
at the Community College of Denver. He
has helped individuals, nonprofits, and
small business owners get their stories into
digital form and has offered boot camps to
help them enhance their website presence,
social media network, and creatively raise
