MOA Architecture

recently

promoted a number of associ-

ates as well as added three

new professionals.

Senior Associates

Brian Kon-

czak, AIA, LEED AP BD+C,

and

Senior Designer

Eric Vogel,

AIA, LEED AP,

were promoted

to principals at the architec-

ture firm.

Rachel Gerhart

and

Jessica Blanford, AIA, LEED

AP BD+C,

were named senior

associates of the firm.

Konczak joined the firm in

2003. His experience includes

K-12, higher education and

commercial office planning

and design. Currently he is

managing the new Red Rocks

Community College Health

and Science building and the

Bioscience 2 Office Building on

the Fitzsimons campus.

Vogel joined MOA in 2008.

He has a varied portfolio that

includes commercial office,

K-12, retail

and mixed-

use. Cur-

rently, he is

the design

team leader

for the Red

Rocks Com-

munity Col-

lege Health

and Science

building and

the Bioscience 2 Office Build-

ing.

Gerhart, SDA, business

manager, joined the company

in 2004 and has more than 15

years of experience in account-

ing and business adminis-

tration. Her responsibilities

include all phases of account-

ing, benefits and human

resources administration as

well as serving as the business

liaison for clients, consultants

and trade partners.

Blanford, architect, joined

MOA in 2006 and has more

than eight years of experience

in educational planning and

design. Blanford currently is

the project manager on the

Roosevelt High School/Cen-

ter for Advanced Professional

Studies Campus in Casper,

Wyoming, and two school ren-

ovations projects with Denver

Public Schools.

The new professionals who

joined the firm are

Joseph

Hosek, AIA, NCARB, Peter

Castricone, PMP,

and

John

Gudger, Associate AIA.

Hosek, project manager,

comes to the firm with 20 years

of experience

in K-12, retail

and com-

mercial office

design. He

attended the

University

of Colorado,

where he

earned a

bachelor’s

degree in

environmental design, archi-

tecture, and a Master of Archi-

tecture. Hosek currently is the

project manager of several

K-12 projects.

Castri-

cone, project

manager,

specializes in

commercial

office and

K-12 design.

He holds a

Master of

Architecture

from the Uni-

versity of Colorado Denver. He

will be the project manager on

a new K-12

campus.

Gudger

joined

the firm’s

Casper,

Wyoming,

office and

has 20 years

of experience

in commer-

cial office,

mixed-use and nonprofit facil-

ity design. He holds a Master

of Architecture from the Uni-

versity of Texas at Arlington.

Currently, he is working on the

Hoyt Hall Renovation at the

University of Wyoming.

Krista Sanderson, LEED

GA,

was named director of

business development at

Core

Consultants Inc.

Core specializes in provid-

ing civil engineering, natural

resources, land surveying, eco-

logical services and develop-

ment consulting in Colorado.

Sanderson has spent the past

10 years in support and mar-

keting/business development

roles with

consulting

engineers

KL&A

and, most

recently, S.A.

Miro. She

will expand

Core’s client

and project

base with

her network

and industry knowledge, stra-

tegic marketing and company

support.

Trae Rigby

joined

Saunders

Construction Inc.

as vice pres-

ident of development services

and is responsible for creating

the compa-

ny’s strategic

development

platform.

Prior to

joining the

full-service

construction

manager and

general con-

tractor, Rigby

worked as a

chief development officer for

McWhinney. Rigby earned his

Bachelor of Arts in business

administration from Arcadia

University.

Robyn Tardy

joined

Herman

Miller

as the new small- and

medium-business representa-

tive for the furniture designer,

manufacturer and seller of fur-

niture systems and products.

In her new role, she will con-

tinue to collaborate with dealer

partners and the architecture

and design community by uti-

lizing Herman Miller.

Over the past two years,

she worked with Workplace

Resource.

Maria Kebschull

is the

senior marketing representa-

tive in the Denver market for

Concept

Surfaces,

a

supplier of

high-quality,

hard-surface

materi-

als, which

expanded

into the Den-

ver market.

She has

been active

in the areas of commercial

office furnishings and work-

place strategy and her career

has spanned markets from

Dallas to New York to Den-

ver. In her role, Kebschull

hosts regular product update

presentations and provides

relevant technical and trend

information to architects and

designers.

John R. Cottle, FAIA,

of

CCY Architects was inducted

into the College of Fellows at

the national

American Insti-

tute of Architects

convention.

The fellowship recognizes his

achievements for design con-

tributions to architecture and

society.

Cottle’s work was recognized

as having redefined mountain

architecture.

Kristin Danford

was named

marketing manager for

Wenk

Associates,

a landscape archi-

tecture and

planning

firm.

For 13

years, Dan-

ford has split

her time

between

practic-

ing and

marketing

landscape

architecture in Colorado. She

will guide the firm’s business

development and marketing

strategies.

Tyler Miller

was promoted to

project manager at

Catamount

Constructors.

Miller joined Catamount four

years ago as project engineer

and also has been a super-

intendent. He has been in

the construction industry for

seven years, has a background

in architecture, engineering

and project

supervision

and has a

degree in

architecture

from the

University of

Oregon.

In this

new posi-

tion, Miller

will be the

lead project manager on the

Broomfield Corners II project

in Broomfield.

Manhard Consulting

added

Patrick Domagall

as project

engineer.

In his new position, Doma-

gall will provide project engi-

neering and site design to a

variety of

clients in the

industrial,

commercial,

residential

and retail

markets. He

will work out

of the West-

minster office

of the firm,

which pro-

vides civil engineering, survey-

ing, water resources manage-

ment, water and wastewater

engineering, environmental

sciences, construction manage-

ment and other services.

Domagall has more than

28 years of experience in

civil engineering, surveying

and project management. He

graduated from the University

of Colorado with a bachelor’s

degree in civil engineering.

Alliance Construction Solu-

tions

announced that

Greg

Conger, Colby Pearce, Clinton

Gronhovd, Coleman Kilbane,

Keith Krajco

and

Angie

Ellingwood

joined the organi-

zation.

Conger joined the firm as

preconstruction manager. He

earned a Bachelor of Science

degree in

construction

manage-

ment from

Colorado

State Univer-

sity and has

spent the last

29 years in

the construc-

tion industry.

Conger will

lead the daily management,

supervision, coordination and

successful completion of the

preconstruction phase of proj-

ects to meet the cost objectives

with respect to contracting,

scheduling, estimating and

value-add services.

Pearce was hired as control-

ler of the company, a construc-

tion management, general

contracting

and design-

build-assist

firm. Pearce

attended the

University

of Denver,

where he

received a

bachelor’s

degree in

accounting/

finance and a master’s degree

in accounting. He will oversee

accounting, administration

and IT functions.

Gronhovd joined the compa-

ny as a senior project manager.

His primary

responsi-

bilities are to

ensure that

construc-

tion occurs

according

to schedule

and within

budget, and

demanding

quality as

well as monitoring the prog-

ress of the project and han-

dling any issues that arise. He

brings more than 32 years of

construction experience to the

firm.

Kilbane will assist the proj-

ect team at the Renaissance

at North Colorado Station

project. He

is providing

administra-

tive and

technical

services in

the fields

of schedul-

ing, cost

engineer-

ing, layout,

subcontract

coordination and general proj-

ect administration.

Krajco joined Alliance

as project engineer and is

assigned to

the Piranesi

Apartments

Phase II and

the Arapa-

hoe County

Fairgrounds

Exhibit Hall

Expansion

and Attached

Covered

Arena. He

earned a Bachelor of Science

in building construction man-

agement from the University

of Wisconsin-Platteville and

will complete his Bachelor of

Science in Business Adminis-

tration-Applied Management

from the University of Wiscon-

sin-Platteville this summer.

Ellingwood joined the

accounting department at ACS

and is responsible for payroll,

accounts payable as well as

assisting

with human

resources.

Ellingwood

is account-

able for the

coordination

between pay-

roll, human

resources

and other

depart-

ments to ensure proper flow

and maintenance of employee

data. She attended Minnesota

School of Business, earned her

associate’s degree in account-

ing and brings more than 17

years of accounting experience

to Alliance.

Guillermo Espinoza

joined

WorthGroup Architects and

Designers.

He joined the architecture

and design firm as a 3D ani-

mator.

Espinoza worked as an ani-

mator for the firm from 2006

to 2011 while from 2011 to

2015 he returned to his native

Costa Rica and worked as an

animator for Gensler.

Prior to working for Worth-

Group and

Gensler, he

worked with

SDI from

2003 to 2006

after earning

his degree

from the Art

Institute of

Chicago.

Currently, he

is working

on renderings and animations

for a large hotel tower and

conference center the firm is

designing in Minnesota.

Cobb will assist with

expanding the firm’s higher

education practice and support

on campus master planning,

implementa-

tion plan-

ning, as well

as academic

program-

ming and

benchmark-

ing. She joins

the firm from

CannonDe-

sign, where

she served as associate vice

president and higher education

market leader.

She holds a Master of Sci-

ence in advanced architec-

tural design from Columbia

University Graduate School

of Architecture in New York

and a Bachelor of Architecture
