Design Workshop,

an inter-

national landscape architecture,

planning and urban design firm,

promoted six employees to asso-

ciate, including two in the Denver

office.

Anna Cawrse

began her career

at the firm’s Denver office in 2012

after graduation fromHarvard

Graduate School of Design.

Since joining the firm, Cawrse

has been involved with and led

projects that tackle urban design

and site design such as Post Oak

Boulevard in Houston, Sun Val-

leyMaster Plan in Denver and

Dominion Bridge in Calgary,

Alberta, Canada.

Joshua Brooks

also was pro-

moted at DesignWorkshop.

Brooks worked on projects that

include the design and planning

of the P Street Corridor in Lincoln,

Nebraska; Triangle Plaza and 15th

Street Plaza in Denver; Oukai-

meden New Town in Central

Morocco; and, most recently, in

the Interstate 70 Corridor Recon-

struction. He has a bachelor’s

degree in landscape architecture

and a minor in environmental

planning from the Robert Reich

School of LandscapeArchitecture

at Louisiana State University.

Humphries Poli Architects

named two new principals/

shareholders at the firm and three

new associates.

Ryan Wallace, AIA, LEED AP

BD+C,

architect, was promoted to

principal. Wallace has a bachelor’s

degree from the University of

Colorado Boulder and a master’s

degree in

architecture

from the Uni-

versity of Col-

orado Denver.

He joined the

firm in 2004

and brings an

understanding

of sustainable

design prin-

ciples that aids

in the firm’s execution of respon-

sible buildings and will help

HPAcontinue the exploration of

new technologies to improve the

design process.

Also promoted to principal

was architect

Jane Crisler, AIA,

LEED AP.

Crisler has contributed

to the firm’s success by building a

portfolio of K-12 projects comple-

mented by

an expertise

of historic

preserva-

tion projects.

She received

her master’s

degree in

architecture

from the Uni-

versity of Col-

orado Denver

after earning a Bachelor of Arts

in historic preservation fromUni-

versity of MaryWashington. Prior

to joining HPA, Crisler spent 10

years with the federal Advisory

Council on Historic Preservation,

collaborating on historic proper-

ties of national significance. She

joined HPAin 2005.

Named associate at the firm

were

Martha Runkle, LEED

GA, Nate Huyler, AIA, LEED AP

BD+C,

and

Eric Doner, LEED GA.

Runkle, marketing manager, is

responsible for

the creation

of the firm’s

responses to

proposals,

graphic design

initiatives,

maintenance

of various

social media

platforms and

related busi-

ness development efforts. She has

a Bachelor of Science degree from

Villanova University and joined

the firm in 2011 after relocating

fromPhiladelphia, where she

served as the

marketing

coordinator

at a national

urban design

and landscape

architecture

firm.

Huyler,

an architect,

specializes in

the field of

sustainability. He received a Bach-

elor of Architecture degree from

Syracuse University and is a reg-

istered architect in Colorado. Prior

to joining HPA, he collaborated

with several Denver area firms in

the creation of a notable portfolio

of sustainable projects. He joined

the firm in 2013. He will provide

leadership of the firm’s sustain-

ability practice as the director of

sustainability, overseeing the cre-

ation of project goals and param-

eters for all projects.

Doner has been part of the

growth of the firm’s multifamily

housing practice and in the imple-

mentation of

digital design

tools in its

practice. Prior

to joining

HPA, Doner

received his

Master of

Architecture

degree from

the University

of Colorado

Denver after earning a bachelor’s

degree in electrical engineering

fromColorado State University.

Kristoffer Kenton, AIA,

NCARD, LEED AP,

was named

Galloway’s newest partner.

Kenton has more than 17 years

of experi-

ence with an

expansive

range of

project types,

including

mixed-use,

retail, master

planning,

office, indus-

trial and large-

scale parking

facilities, as well as a variety of

commercial uses with construc-

tion budgets ranging from $50,000

to $350 million.

Kenton, director of architecture

for the planning, architecture and

engineering firm, has grown Gal-

loway’s architecture department

since joining the firm in 2014.

Brett Jacques

was named asso-

ciate at

Van Meter Williams Pol-

lack,

which is celebrating its 25th

anniversary.

Jacques

joined the

architecture

and urban

planning firm

in 2005, and

as a designer,

project man-

ager and proj-

ect architect,

he has been

involved in every phase of built

projects designed by the Denver

office, including 7133West Virgin-

ia apartments at Belmar and the

Botanica Eastbridge in Stapleton.

As an architect, he oversees

multifamily urban housing

projects from schematic design

through construction administra-

tion. Currently, he’s working on

Morrison Place, a seven-building,

197-unit affordable housing

development in Denver; iUnit, a

40-unit modular housing project

in Denver; and Park Place Olde

Town, a 153-unit, market-rate

rental project inArvada.

He earned a bachelor’s degree

in architecture at California

State Polytechnic University,

Pomona.

Dawson has

been a mem-

ber of RNL since 2004. He has a

diverse range of computer design,

illustration and presentation

skills. His work includes office

buildings, hotels, mixed-use,

commercial, high-rise residential,

and administration-operations-

maintenance complexes for

municipal utilities, public works

and transportation clients. Cur-

rently Dawson is working on the

Denver Water Campus redevel-

opment project.

Shawaker is an urban designer

in the firm’s Urban Design/

Landscape

Architecture

Studio. He has

more than 15

years of expe-

rience in the

planning and

urban design

of sustainable

mixed-use,

commu-

nity infill and

development projects. He has

led projects beginning with mas-

ter planning and entitlements,

through the detailed design of

streetscapes and public spaces.

His recent projects include the St.

Anthony Central Campus Rede-

velopment Master Plan and the

Brighton Boulevard Streetscape

Revitalization Study.

was

elected 2016-2017 treasurer of the

American Institute of Architects.

Coppedge has held numerous

of Architects Colorado

Chapter presented

awards and honors during its

16th annual YAAG awards

program (formerly known

as the Young Architects

Awards Gala), held May

29 at OZ Architecture in

Denver, emceed by Meaghan

Mooney of Fox 31 Denver and

Colorado’s Own Channel 2.

This awards program gives

emerging students, designers

and young architects (licensed

10 years or less) an opportu-

nity to showcase their work

and be recognized for their

accomplishments.

The following 15 awards
