Gulf Pine Catholic • February 13, 2026 29 Catholic Schools Week is always a great week. This year, St. Vincent dePaul students spent some time “Celebrating [their] Community with Saintly Service.” Among other things, each grade cleaned or spruced up an area of the school. Some cleaned and prettied playgrounds; some deep cleaned their pods/hallways; and fifth grade decided to spruce up the back entrance of the school. (That is the entry for most students and most staff.) They painted beautiful images and messages on the windows and doors showing how much they love the school, teachers, and fellow students. Fifth grade teacher, Elizabeth Mink, organized both fifth grade classes and helped each student come up with an idea to paint. She laid everything out and made sure each window was color coordinated. Mink also painted a type of primer first layer so the students could add color on top. What a wonderful way to show love and respect for their school. Students formed a Living Patriotic Rosary around the gym. Each Faith House was assigned a decade of the rosary. A Hail Mary was said for each of the 50 states. As they completed each Hail Mary, students placed a candle on a United States map corresponding to the state they were praying for. At the conclusion of the rosary, students sang “God Bless America.” St. Paul the Apostle Mission, Tylertown, Daughters of the Americas gather baby items St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #2762 of Tylertown gathered items for baby shower for the Pregnancy Crisis Center.
