Sacred Heart Parish, D’Iberville, holds Rite of Acceptance Today our parish family gathered with joy and reverence to celebrate the Sunday of the Word of God, a day dedicated to honoring the living Word that guides, strengthens, and transforms us. Our parishioners were invited to bring their family Bibles for a special blessing -- a beautiful reminder that Scripture is meant to be opened, prayed with, and lived. We also celebrated our Ministers of the Word -- our lectors and readers -- who received a special blessing as they continue their mission of proclaiming God’s Word with faith and devotion. May the Word of God dispel every darkness in our hearts and lead us ever closer to Christ. Amen. “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” -- Psalm 119:105 Sunday of the Word of God at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula Knights of Columbus Council #4472 of Holy Family Parish representative, Program Director Teddy Fields, receives the Star Council Award on behalf of Grand Knight Christopher Smythe. The Star Awards recognize outstanding achievement during the year. It is the marker of a high preforming Knights of Columbus unit and the goal to which every council, district, and assembly strives for. Council #4472 of Pass Christian was involved heavily in the planning of the Eucharistic Congress and Pilgrimage in our Diocese. In addition, the council had another record-breaking year with their Toys for Tots program, Coats for Kids program, Thanksgiving Dinner program, and its Silver Rose program. In addition to these, they participated in emergency Hurricane relief programs in Florida and North Carolina. Congratulations to Knights of Columbus Council 4472!
