Olsson Associates, a full-ser-
vice engineering design firm, has
moved its Golden office to a new
location in Denver. The move is
a continuation of Olsson’s com-
mitment to the Denver area and
to better serve its employees and
clients, the company said.
“We’ve chosen a more central
location, close to downtown Den-
ver, that has better access to many
of our clients,” said Dana Mack,
office leader. “The new location is
near public transportation, within
walking distance of numerous
amenities, including restaurants,
shops and Sloan’s Lake Park. This
new location will increase our vis-
ibility to potential employees and
clients and provide an all-around
great work environment for Ols-
son’s current staff.”
Olsson’s office is at 1525 Raleigh
St.
Olssonprovides comprehensive
design and consulting services in
site/civil, transportation, water,
environmental, field operations,
survey and facilities.
Established in 1956, Olsson has
nearly 30 offices in the Midwest
and Southwest U.S. The employ-
ee-owned firm has more than
1,000 employees.
OLC moves headquarters to
Steam on the Platte
Ohlson Lavoie Collaborative,
or OLC, an international architec-
ture, interior design and aquatics
design firm, is moving its Den-
ver headquarters to the historic,
newly renovated Steam on the
Platte development at 1401 Zuni
St. in Denver.
Steam on the Platte is a 3.2-
acre mixed-use project in the Sun
Valley neighborhood along the
South Platte River. OLCs approxi-
mately 5,100-square-foot space is
located in the first phase of the
project, a 65,000-sf brick and tim-
ber warehouse that was turned
into a workspace for tech and cre-
ative companies. Additional office
space and residential buildings
are planned.
The technological advancement
of the new location will comple-
ment OLC’s advanced 3-D mod-
eling and virtual reality capabili-
ties.
“OLC may be an international
architectural firm, but we also do
work locally and have local ties.
Myself, I’ve really been looking
forward to being a part of the revi-
talization of the SunValleyNeigh-
borhood. With its proximity to
downtown, access to mass transit,
and plans in place for sustainable
mixed-use development, it will be
a convenient, healthy and vibrant
location for our business for many
years to come,” said Bob McDon-
ald, senior principal at OLC.
OLC has designed high-profile
fitness, recreation and wellness
projectsworldwide andmaintains
additional locations in Orlando,
Florida, Tokyo and Cairo. Locally,
OLC is working on the new Estes
Valley Community Center in
Estes Park; Cordillera Pool Reno-
vations in Eagle Valley; and most
recently completed the Colorado
Golf Club Pool and Bath House
in Parker.
The development team for
Steam included Urban Ventures
LLC of Denver and White Con-
struction Group of Castle Rock. In
addition to OLC, Steam’s tenants
include Lyft, Nimble and Bold
Beans Coffee Shop.
