Scripture readings, music, silence and meditation were used to worship God. This event was created promote encounters with Christ for the whole parish, as the process of forming intentional disciples requires it. The parish is planning to have this evening of reflection and adoration once a month. The next will be the first Tues. of Jan. beginning at 6 p.m. Neighborhood parishes are welcome. Knights of Columbus Council 4th Degree Assembly 561, Pascagoula/Gautier, placed a wreath at their Veterans Memorial at the Jackson County west bound I-10 Welcome Center for Veterans Day. Sir Knight Benny French was this year’s wreath layer. St. Mary Parish, Gautier Daniel Lalley and Robert Campbell collect donations during Council 9124’s recent collection for people with intellectual disabilities. On Sat., Nov. 23, Fr. Godfrey Andoh presented the Kerygma ‟The Proclamation of yhe Good News” at St. Elizabeth Parish. About 30 men attend this day of recollection in which they reflected on the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ. Fr. Godfrey did an excellent presentation. This is the first presentation of many more that we will have at St. Elizabeth. The follow up from this day of recollection is weekly faith formation groups using the material called, ‟Together with Christ” every Tues. from 6:30-8 p.m. in the parish hall. St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, Ocean Springs St. Alphonsus Parish served a Thanksgiving meal to the senior citizens at the Knights of Columbus Hall November 24. The Knights, with the help of adult and teenage volunteers, fed about 400 people and took 50 plates to the Villa Maria and 50 plates to the Samaritan House retirement homes. St. Alphonsus Parish, Ocean Springs Most Holy Trinity Parish, Pass Christian Most Holy Trinity Council 11995 and its Ladiesʼ Auxiliary sponsored the Parish's annual Remembrance Mass on Mon., Nov. 4. In support of the parish, the Assembly provided an Honor Guard for the Mass. In support of this somber event, as the name of each parishioner who passed away within the last five years, a Knights of Columbus member would ring a bell and the ladiesʼ Auxiliary would light a candle in remembrance. After the Parish members were recognized, The Knights of Columbus held their Necrology, recognizing the 19 members of the Council who passed away since the Council was formed in April 1997.
