In response to the Diocese of Biloxi’s “Donate Your Change” campaign, Gruich’s class donated the most change toward the RCMHS Library restoration project. Students were excited to receive their “Friends of the RCMHS Library” t-shirts, and Sisson was thrilled to meet these generous students and their teachers. To commemorate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, which falls on Oct. 4, a large crowd of parents and students gathered in the OLF Elementary courtyard for a pet blessing conducted by Father Henry McInerney. This year Father Henry blessed a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, gerbils, and birds. “Our students and families enjoy the chance to bring their pets to school and obtain a blessing,” said OLF principal Cindy Hahn. This event is held annually at OLF Elementary in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all animals. Pictured are Father Henry, Zachary Belvel and Zachary’s dog.
