Gulf Pine Catholic

20 Gulf Pine Catholic • December 13, 2019 This year’s Diocesan Pastoral Center Christmas tree was decorated by students from Sacred Heart Elementary, D’Iberville. As is tradition, Dr. Rhonda Clark, Diocesan Superintendent of Catholic Schools, dressed as Mrs. Claus and read “The Christmas Story” to the students. Pastor Fr. Dominic Pham and Principal Stephanie Gruich placed the anchor representing the theme “Anchored in Faith” atop the tree. The shrimp boat at the base of the tree in front is a replica of Fr. Pham’s father’s shrimp boat and the two on either side are replicas of shrimp boats in Vietnam. After decorating the tree, the students posed for a photo with Bishop Louis Kihneman III and Fr. Pham. Bishop Kihneman also celebrated Mass for the students who were treated afterwards to a pizza party. Photos/Juliana Skelton Trimming the Christmas Tree
