Parishioners say farewell to Father Henry McInerney
Left, St. Alphonsus Parish and the Knights of Columbus gave outgoing pastor Father Henry McInerney a going away party on January 11 in the school gym. There
were lots of gifts and Kit Kats given to Father McInerney, who has been appointed pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Biloxi. Each parishioner brought a
covered dish, and some even tried to trick Father McInerney with imitation green beans, which he really dislikes. Father McInerney was also given a cake, right,
topped with a photo of him and his moped, just one of many vehicles from his enormous fleet of used cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles. There were about 400-500
people, plus six priests who came out to bid Father McInerney farewell.
