Watts to Water
award winners for
superior achievement in ener-
gy and water conservation
management.
The sixth annual Watts to
Water Awards ceremony rec-
ognized outstanding buildings
in the greater Denver metro
area for superior achievement
in the reduction of energy and
water consumption.
This first-of-its-kind pro-
gram is sponsored by Denver
Metro BOMA, the Denver
Mayor’s Office and the
Environmental Protection
Agency. Watts to Water offers
participants free sustainabil-
ity training, tips and advice
on how to best utilize Energy
Star Portfolio Manager.
Last year, Watts to Water
members saved 7.8 million
kWh of electricity and 14 mil-
lion kBtu of steam and natu-
ral gas. That’s enough energy
to power more than 500,000
square feet of Denver office
space. In addition, Watts to
Water members reported
more than 9.3 million gallons
of water savings!
