Haselden Construction’s
second annual clay shoot
in June raised more than
$68,000 for Homes for Our
Troops. Proceeds of the
event will help build Army
Sgt. Matthew Spang’s spe-
cially adapted home in Mon-
ument.
Homes for Our Troops
President and CEO Timo-
thy McHale, who attended
the shoot, said the specially
adapted homes his organiza-
tion builds for deserving vet-
erans would not be possible
without the support of gen-
erous donors and corpora-
tions nationwide. “It is only
through the philanthropic
investment of companies
like Haselden that Homes for
Our Troops can continue its
mission of ‘Building Homes
and Rebuilding Lives.’ We
are humbled and grate-
ful for the compassion and
commitment of Haselden
and its employees who raise
funds for our cause and help
return the gift of freedom
and independence to those
who fought so bravely to
protect our freedoms over-
seas.”
A total of 192 shooters and
more than 50 volunteers par-
ticipated in the clay shoot,
one of only four fundraisers
so far this year to raise more
than $50,000 for Homes
for Our Troops. Last year
Haselden was among seven
groups to raise more than
$50,000 and was the largest
donor in Colorado.
Haselden project estima-
tor Laura Hoff, who coordi-
nated the event with estima-
tor Josh Huff, said the event
wouldn’t have been possible
without participants and
sponsors, including Falcon
Plumbing & Heating, MTech
Mechanical, Encore Electric
and Metropolitan Glass.

“As a longtime advocate for
rural Colorado, I’m glad to that
the Limon Foreign Trade Zone
has been approved, and I look
forward to the many economic
benefits that it will bring to
Limon and Lincoln County as
well as Adams, Arapahoe and
