-Anthea Martin joined Walker & Dunlop Inc.’s FHA Finance group. Martin, vice president, will specialize in loan originations for both market-rate and affordable multifamily properties with a primary emphasis on FHA-insured mortgages in the Western U.S. for the commercial real estate finance companies. She has more than 16 years of commercial real estate experience and has been responsible for structuring, underwriting and closing more than 70 transactions with more than $500 million in total volume. Prior to joining the firm, Martin served as vice president and senior MAP underwriter at CBRE. Previously, she was a principal consultant with 5280 RE Solutions, where she prepared narrative summaries, credit risk assessments and market analysis for affordable housing transactions as well as organized grant submissions for the HUD Green Retrofit Program. Martin received her master’s degree from the Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver and her bachelor’s degree in information systems and marketing from Stern School of Business at New York University. -RedPeak, a developer, owner and manager of apartment communities, named Lori Snider as director of education and team development. Snider is a nationally recognized educator and marketing trailblazer and developed, delivered and implemented training and marketing initiatives for many of the country’s top apartment firms. Her 25-year career has spanned positions with Lincoln Property Co., Legacy Partners, Draper and Kramer, For Rent Media Solutions and Creativity for Rent. In addition to team development, she will oversee recruitment and experience management initiatives, and encourage the cultural environment. -Commercial real estate lender Hunt Mortgage Group named Penny Newton as vice president in the Small Loan Group. In this role, she will source and originate small Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loans for clients in Colorado and the surrounding area. She will be based in Denver and will report to Rick Warren, senior managing director, mortgage banking. Newton comes to Hunt Mortgage Group from Grandbridge Real Estate Capital/BB&T Bank, where she was a vice president. In this role, she served as a commercial banker for agency debt, Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, insurance companies, commercial mortgage-backed securities and commercial banks. She has nearly 25 years of commercial mortgage and bank lending experience. Earlier in her career, Newton served as client manager, commercial term lending, at Chase Commercial Term Lending, vice president-lender at Horizon Banks, underwriter at GMAC Commercial Mortgage, CMBS market manager at KeyBank and commercial real estate loan underwriter at Midland Loan Services. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi, where she majored in banking and finance. -Jack Kachadurian joined Wood Partners LLC as vice president of development for the Denver and Rocky Mountain markets. Kachadurian will be based in the Denver office of the firm, which has developed six apartment communities in the Denver area and plans to close a seventh since launching its Denver office eight years ago. Before he joined Wood Partners, Kachadurian was a senior associate with Pritzker Realty Group in Chicago, where he assisted with the closings of land acquisitions and development of more than 2,000 units in various markets around the country. He also served as an investment sales real estate analyst for Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP in Chicago. Kachadurian earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and management from Regis University. -Justin Atwell, MAI, MRICS, and Arod Javier joined CBRE and its Valuation and Advisory Services in Denver. Formerly with the real estate services and investment firm’s Seattle office, Atwell returns to the company in Denver as a director specializing in office properties. He has more than 15 years of valuation and consultation experience, the last 10 years of which he focused on office real estate. Last year, Atwell appraised 8.1 million square feet of office space valued at more than $1.9 billion. He received a bachelor’s degree in urban design and planning from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. Javier joined CBRE as a senior appraiser specializing in development properties. He has nearly 20 years of experience, including being the lead expert for the residential development and multifamily specialty groups in the Rocky Mountain region as a director at Cushman & Wakefield. Most recently, Javier served as a banking officer/review appraiser at ANB Bank, where he handled appraisal reviews and/or advised on regulatory appraisal guidelines for more than 600 commercial and residential, federally related real estate loan transactions. He received a Bachelor of Science in agribusiness management from the University of the Philippines and studied toward a master’s in management. Both Atwell and Javier are based out of CBRE’s downtown office.
