Changing the Skyline Along I-25 in the SES Corridor
CoBank, headquartered in Greenwood Village, is a $125 billion national cooper-
ative bank providing loans, leases, export financing and other financial services
to agribusinesses and rural power, water and communications providers in all
50 states.
CoBank had occupied its DTC headquarters facility for nearly 30 years and
desired a new image, an image that would promote a progressive company and
one that would help to retain and attract employees. Given the size of the re-
quirement, no available options existed that accommodated the need. The new,
BTS Class AA CoBank Center was completed in December 2015.
The building is approximately 300,000 square feet and is located in a transpor-
tation oriented-development on the light rail.
CoBank hired JLL’s Project & Development Services team to oversee its inter-
ests in both the core/shell and tenant improvement scopes of work. JLL worked
closely with developer Shea Properties, and general contractor Adolfson & Pe-
terson, to reduce the construction budget, and final rentable square footage
calculations for the building. The result saved CoBank over $4.4million.
