Offices that Create Connections and Inspire Collaboration
Creating high-performance office spaces and buildings that inspire innovation and
encourage collaboration is what OZ Architecture’s Office Interior Design team does
time and time again. We believe offices should be tailored to the company’s culture
and work style, a place employees are proud to call home, one that is adaptable, and
encourages productivity, achievement and connectivity.
Workplace strategies and beta concepts are applied at our own studio in Denver’s
RiNo neighborhood, and we continually test new ideas in our environment. We are a
collaborative team, but when we realized that our workstation configuration forced
us to spend 90 percent of the day with our backs to each other, we made the change
to standing workstations and community tables that accommodate up to 20 peo-
ple. By eliminating closed offices, traditional boundaries between staff and leader-
ship are broken down to reflect a culture of collaboration. A variety of informal and
unique gathering spaces allow for spontaneous conversations and interactions. Our
indoor/outdoor bar doubles as a casual meeting space during the day and a gathering
space by night. By providing alternatives to the status quo and constantly pushing for
change in our own offices, we create the chance encounters that fuel inspiration and
cross-pollination – which often leads to our best work.
The most successful workplace interiors reflect and enhance a company’s brand,
support their employee’s needs and work styles, and give them the physical freedom
and space – both indoors and out – to do their best, most productive work. A stimu-
lating and adaptable work environment can go a long way in making day-to-day work
enjoyable, efficient, and attractive to today’s top talent.
