It also involved communication with the project’s subcontractors, he
adds, especially necessary because of the tight labor market. “We did a
lot of reaching out to our trade partners, keeping the schedule on track.”
Meunier, who’s been with PCL for 13 years, is pleased with the out-
come, and sounds relieved to have crossed the finish line. “It’s been a
ride,” he says. “A lot of jobs that go down the path of dealing with chal-
lenges don’t end up as well as this one did. We have a happy owner and
a strong relationship with the architect. That’s the true success of this
job.”
