Letters containing obvious factual inaccuracies, unattributed facts and quotes or libelous statements will not be printed. All letters must include the writer’s name, address and phone number for verification purposes. Letters submitted by mail or dropped off at the Association office also need a signature. Wade Gibbons, resident of Building 59 for over 20 years, passed away on February 27, 2019. Wade and his wife Maxine had recently moved to McPherson, Kansas. Services are planned for late May in Littleton, Colorado. -------------------- Thomas L. Davis, resident of Building 37, died suddenly March 5, 2019 at his home. Tom (aka “Slick”) lettered in football, basketball and wrestling at Omaha North High School and earned all-state football honors. He attended the University of Nebraska as a philosophy major and was on the offensive line as a center (#52) for four years (1973-76). Tom was named a first team All-American by the Football Writers and second team All-American by the Football News and UPI. As a junior in 1976, he earned honorable mention All-Big Eight honors. Tom was continued on page 6 Snow Removal “I love work, I could watch it all day,” the old saying goes. This winter I’ve watched our faithful maintenance crew diligently remove snow from around the CenterPoint/Auditorium complex. They are so careful to remove every icy spot they can see, even clearing the middle of the street so us jaywalkers from Bldg 84 can access the facilities across from us. Ice melt is distributed on every dangerous spot. Our WG crew was out there during sub-zero days and through the blizzard of March 13 and every day in between. Hey, we appreciate all the work you do, maintenance crew, to keep us safe and on the move. Rose Castle HOA Fees and the Budget Tami did a good job of explaining the budget at the February 28th meeting. For all the complaints she hears from those who object to paying for community items not directly affecting their unit, such as repairs to the underground garages, might I suggest that contrary to their belief, they do derive a benefit:  where would all those continued on page 6
