In Remembrance Donuts with Donna Where: CenterPoint February 28 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Frances “Fran” Margaret Lynn Burch moved into Windsor Gardens in 1971 as the first resident in Building 84. She lived there for 47 years. On December 15, 2018, at the age of 92 she passed from this life into the next. A native Coloradoan, she was born in Canon City. At the age of 15 she was awarded the highest honor of “Torch Bearer” in Camp Fire Girls. She taught school for 33 years, three in Kansas as a physical education teacher and 27 years teaching kindergarten in Aurora Public Schools. Fran loved music and nature (especially the mountains) and was extremely proud of her Welsh heritage as well as being an American. She was active in Delta Kappa Gamma, the Aurora Retired Teachers Association, the Creative Greeting Cards Club (making her own Christmas cards), Calvary Baptist Church (where she sang in the choir until her voice gave out at age 82), the Colorado Welsh Society, Ottawa University alumni and the Windsor Gardens tap dancers and Spice of Life singers. continued on page 7 Secret Santa Surprises To Whom It May Concern, I wanted to give a big thank you to all the Secret Santas out there who left us little piles of presents in the yard to find while we were putting the holiday lights up and then taking them back down again. It has been a while since we have stepped in dog poo (since the same time last year), and we had kind of forgotten how delightful it can be! I can't begin to tell you how it made our days! Some of these special gifts were of such generous proportion that we were able to spread them over four steps of the ladder! Some gifts just keep on giving. Oh, the joy, the joy! It was such fun to stop our decorating to clean up our shoes and ladder with water and disinfectant (from our home on the 4th floor). Surely we have not been the only recipients of these special gifts, so I will thank you all again on behalf of all the other special people who live and work at Windsor Gardens.  Very sincerely yours,  Linda Gulliford
