Hart Council #9673 proudly announces the successful completion of another blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross on May 1. The drive collected 27 units of blood, surpassing their goal of 18 units. For the past 15 years, Council #9673 strives through such blood drives to make a positive impact on saving lives and fostering a spirit of generosity. St. Mary, Woolmarket, KCs James D. Hart Council #8673 announces successful blood drive On Monday, May 4, the Liturgy Group Chairperson, Gisele Bradley, invited members of the church and community to gather in the courtyard of Father Anil Thomas’ home to pray the Rosary in honor of Our Blessed Mother in this, the Month of Mary. The group was lead in prayer by Linda Allen, Mary Becnel, Cookie Mitterbron, Rhonda Labat, and Gisele Bradley as they prayed the Joyful Mystery. The prayer service was concluded with the singing of Ava Maria which was lead by Deacon Harris and the closing prayer by Father Anil Thomas. It was a beautiful evening for prayer and reflection. St. Rose de Lima Parish, Bay St. Louis, gathers to pray Rosary in honor of Our Blessed Mother On May 08, the maritime community of Pascagoula witnessed a moment of faith, tradition, and deep respect as the vessel Signet Warhorse III received a special blessing. The invitation was extended by one of the company’s own workers, a devoted Catholic parishioner of Sacred Heart, Ben Schoenberger, who wished to entrust the vessel and its crew to God’s protection. Father Lalo Mora, pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, was entrusted with performing the blessing of the vessel. The captain, Troy Jackson, and Ben Schoenberger accompanied him as he walked throughout the entire vessel to bless it. Several crew members also approached and requested a personal blessing. The ceremony was marked by reverence and heartfelt participation. A special word of gratitude goes to the captain, Troy Jaksson, of the Signet Warhorse III and the entire crew, whose kindness, seriousness, and genuine devotion were evident throughout the blessing. Their professionalism and openness to prayer reflected the strong spirit of unity that defines those who work upon the sea. As the vessel continues its mission on the waters, we pray: May the Lord of heaven, earth, and the sea bless the Signet Warhorse III, guide its crew, and protect them from every danger and every evil. May their journeys be safe, their work fruitful, and their return home always joyful.
