Gulf Pine Catholic • January 16, 2026 11 The Knights of Columbus developed the Coats for Kids program, which allows councils across North America the opportunity to purchase new winter coats for children in need in their local communities. I would like to thank the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, Hancock County Resource Center, Hope Haven, Waveland Police Department and the Bay St. Louis Police Department in insuring that our kids in Hancock County are kept warm in the following months. Hart Council #9673, hosted their annual Fish Fry at the Prime of Life Senior Center in Woolmarket The fish fry featured catfish, potatoe salad, baked beans, and hushpuppies. It was a rare treat for 104 senior citizens attending. A morning of great food and plenty of comradery had by all. St. Mary Catholic Church, Woolmarket, Knights of Columbus James D. The Silver Rose program is an affirmation of life through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, featuring a silver rose-shaped jewel passed from council to council across North America. The Oct. 16 service fell on the 47th anniversary of the papal election of St. Pope John Paul II, a major supporter of both pro-life initiatives and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
