Page 9 PLATFORM CHANCE FISHER TRIBAL COUNCIL CANDIDATE SPECIAL ELECTION JULY 6, 2021 BE THE POSITIVE ACTION THAT HONORS OUR ANCESTORS AND PROTECTS THE FUTURE GENERATIONS Hello, my name is Chance Little Cloud Fisher and I am running for the vacant seat on the Colorado River Indian Tribal Council, a 1.5-year term, I’m not looking to be a long-term councilmember. I just want to start a better and stronger foundation for our people. I am the son of Eddie and Helena Fisher. My grandmother on my mother’s side is the late Eliza Welsh; on my father’s side, is the late Jesse Fisher Sr. and the late Victoria Romo. I have three sisters, Hanaga, Liberty and Honor Fisher. I have lived on the reservations most of my life with the exception of living off reservation to further my education and work experience. I graduated from Parker High School in 1993 and graduated from Remington College in Tempe, AZ in 2005 with an A.A.S. degree in Computer Networking. I went on to attend the University of New Mexico in Gallup, NM for Business and Administration. Since 2011, I have served on several different boards for the Tribes: Education, TERO and Liquor. I have also served as Chairperson for both Education and TERO boards. As a former employee of the Tribes for 8.5 years, I have experienced the difficulties that have come from working in a toxic environment and would like to see changes to help improve the work environment for all who work within the Tribes. As a representative for the people these are a few areas I would want to improve: 1. More housing for tribal members 2. Invest in tribal businesses and our members 3. Create more jobs so that we can bring back our graduates 4. Improve education for all our students 5. Better management of our natural resources 6. Better care for all our people VOTE Chance Fisher on July 6, 2021. I want to be your Voice, your Backbone, your Advocate in Tribal Council.
