All players must have a handicap. e cost is $5 per couple for sweeps and social event. We had 54 golfers out for our rst event of the season on December 5. Coyote Run Men’s Golf Club Submitted by Phil Johnson In the rst half of 2021, we had many successful events despite some challenges. We cancelled events involving outside participants but completed a full tournament and the ursday league schedule. In November, we had our annual meeting with fried chicken dinner, President’s Cup, Match Play Flights ree-Day (WWW: Klaers, Fitz, Perkins, Wolkosky, Kemp, Taylor, Appelgren, Frane, Atnip, B.Strobel, Soni), Christmas Party sponsored by the Women’s League, and Home &Home vs. Sun Lakes Cottonwood (We lost the cup which we held since 2019.), Elkei was our only prize winner, $140 for closest-to-pin, plus our regular ursday league play. is fall, we will resume a full schedule. • January 2022 begins with member-member ( ree-Day Ryder Cup) tournament, followed by Home & Home v. Apache Wells. • February has our member guest two-day and memorial. Join the Men’s Club and participate in ursday league and all the fun tournaments, great food and drinks, 50/50 and ra e prizes! Coyote Run Women’s Golf Association Submitted by Nancy Gerlach e Coyote Run Women’s Golf Association has been very busy in the latter part of November and beginning of December. We have held two tournaments, with the rst one being e Eclectic Tournament. is was a two-day competition on November 16 and 23. ere were six ights with a total payout of $820. In between our tournaments we held our Annual Christmas Party with both the Coyote Run Men and Ladies Golf Associations on December 1. It was held in the Pima Room with dinner and dancing. e food and music were a hit, and everyone had a good time. anks go out to all the people who put these events together. Heron Lakes Ladies 9-Hole Golf Submitted by Janet McMaster e Heron Lakes Ladies 9-Hole Golf League is busy and active again this year and has events everyTuesday at Heron Lakes. On November 23, we played a Scramble, followed by brunch and a general meeting. President Peggy Babb chaired the meeting and welcomed both the returning and many new members. On December 7, our league hosted a “Step-Aside Scramble” golf game and Christmas lunch with the Heron Lakes 18-hole Ladies League. Chair Debi Budvarson and her committee did a wonderful job of organizing this tournament with several special holes on the golf course, a delicious lunch served by committee members, as well as lots of ra e prizes. We are an active, fun golf league that welcomes new women of all ages and abilities. We have many special events coming up this season, including our popular Invitational Tournament on January 18.
