Snakes, spiders, bats. Oh my! Come out with your family/friends and join after hours’ activities at library on July 12 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Activities include games, scavenger hunts, a pinata, and of course food. This event is sign-up only, children under 18 must be with an adult. TWAS THE FORTNITE BEFORE SCHOOL: PARTY & NERF CHALLENGE FOR TEENS How do you grow food in space, where there's no soil to grow them in? You’ll have a chance to experiment with hydroponic gardening at Fortson Library July 15 at 6:00 p.m. You'll be taking home a plant of your own! Due to limited supplies, sign-up is required to reserve your spot. Please arrive on time, as others may be waiting for an open slot. Time for one last summer hurrah before the school year begins. On Monday, July 29 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., show off your dance moves, design your own Fortnite outfits, show off your trivia knowledge, and maybe try a llama craft. Last but not least, see who comes out on top in the Nerf Challenge. Bring your own shooter & bolts (labeled with your name) for the Nerf Challenge. Weather permitting, we will be outside, so bring any needed allergy medicine, bug spray, and sunscreen. If it rains, still come, we have plans! It's 1969 all over again, and America is about to make history with "putting a man on the moon". So step out in your 60's attire, and help us celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing on Friday July 19th. There will be crafts, a photo booth, a short screening of the actual event, and of course a costume contest!!! This is an all-day even. His show will bring laughter and humor to everyone as he introduces us to his puppets and performs various magic tricks. At Forson Library, July 12 at 2:30 p.m., see and move a robot arm, remote control robots and under- stand the way a robot can move through electronics, hydraulics and solar power. This is a wholly different learning experience than what you get from a book! MG Sprouts - Horticultral Program for Kids! “FORT” NIGHT AFTER HOURS LOCK-IN - ALL AGES MG SPROUTS is a Master Gardener Extension Volunteer-led horticulture program for children ages 6-9 years of age. Children's literature pro- vides a base for each of the six sessions. Listen to a garden-related story and explore the world of plants through hands-on horticulture, writing, games and other fun activities. Sign-ups are required to attend and children are encouraged to attend all six ses- sions. This program takes place July 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 (4:00 -5:00 p.m.) at the Fortson Public Library. Chef Carlin is back again, sharing kitchen skills, delicious recipes, and feeding all who work together to create a meal, plus dessert!
