Snakes in the Library! The Southeastern Snake Encounter – All Ages The Southeastern Snake Encounter is the best educational reptile program in Georgia. Jason Clark’s presentation will feature a select group of animals including venomous and non-venomous snakes, and other reptiles. Topics cover such valuable information as snake identifi- cation, first aid and how to avoid snake bites. (Hint: Never attempt to kill, capture, or harass a snake!) He has honed his craft of educational storytelling for all ages. He loves to recount adventures of past wildlife removal emergencies and speak about the many crazy and funny things that happen while conducting reptile rescues. LEGO Building Missions take place at 3:00 p.m. on three succes- sive Thursdays: July 10, July 17, and July 24. The mission is announced, children have one hour to build, we do a show-and- tell and then display the creations in the children's area. Due to choking hazards, this program is for ages 5 and up only. Hydroponic Gardening – Teens How do you grow food in space, where there's no soil to grow them in? You’ll have a chance to experiment with hydroponic gardening at Fairview Library July 16 at 4:00 p.m. You'll be taking home a plant of your own!
