Our school origi- nated as a home-school program and opened the doors to what is now St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School in 2007. Since that time, the administration, faculty and parish families of StCB have provided students in Picayune and surrounding communities with a learning environment that is built on our school motto, “To Know, Love and Serve God” . We take pride in our strong tradition of creating and nurturing true disciples of Jesus Christ through a first class education. The faculty and staff at StCB teach and model strong Catholic and Christian values while providing a rich curriculum built on high aca- demic expectations. Our school is accredited by the Mississippi Department of Education and Cognia (formerly AdvancEd). Teachers and students have the latest instructional tech- nology at their fingertips to prepare our stu- dents for the next steps in their educational journey and beyond. Every classroom is equipped with the latest technology including an Active Panel, teacher computer and soft- ware/apps that enable every student to interact and participate during lessons through the use of their very own Chromebook. I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to schedule a personal tour and informational meeting with me at your earliest convenience. Thank you for considering St. Charles Borromeo as your child’s school and we look forward to you and your family being a part of our StCB school family. Go Blue Angels! S t . C harles B orromeo E lementary S chool , P icayune ~ P rincipal J ennifer S eymour St. Alphonsus Catholic School is excited to celebrate Catholic Schools Week with all those who serve in the ministry of Catholic education. We will kick off the week by celebrating our parish with school Mass on Sunday. All St. Alphonsus families are invited to attend this Mass followed by a school-wide open house. As part of community involvement, students are encouraged to bring in monetary donations for the Water for South Sudan fundraiser efforts. We will celebrate our students with ice cream treats, our teachers with complimentary lunch and our nation with patriotic colors. Students will also discuss ministry vocations through research and write thank you notes to our clergy. We look forward to thanking those who teach and inspire future leaders and servants of God’s kingdom. R esurrection E lementary /M iddle /H igh S chool , P ascagoula ~ P rincipal K ristal S isson The Holy Spirit continues to move at Resurrection Catholic School as we strive to form intentional disciples of Jesus Christ. Both Resurrection Catholic Elementary School and Resurrection Catholic Middle/High School have divided their students into Gospel and Saint groups where students and staff accompany each other as they spend time praying and meditating on scripture using the method of Lectio Divina and sharing in small groups. In addition, each Gospel and Saint group members perform service projects throughout the school year, including assisting Backpack Buddies, working in the St. Vincent DePaul store, and feeding and clothing the homeless in Pascagoula. At Resurrection Catholic School, each class has a class priest who comes into the classroom during the school day during each quarter. During this time, the class priest answers questions, prays with students, and shares stories and scripture. In turn, each class will visit their class priest’s parish for a night of Adoration and attend a retreat hosted by the parish and their class priest.
