L ouis ~ P rincipal H aleigh C uevas Holy Trinity Elementary School in Bay St. Louis is hosting a variety of events to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. To kick off the week, we will have pre- senters at each church to speak on the importance of Catholic Education. Our students are encouraged to wear their uniforms to Mass. On Monday, our parents will receive a token of appreciation during afternoon pickup. In appreciation of our students on Tuesday, they will receive snowballs since we are blessed with the best! Tuesday will also be our Open House from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. We welcome anyone interested in send- ing their children to HTCS to tour campus and take a look at what our amazing school has to offer. On Wednesday, our school will participate in Tri- School Mass withOur LadyAcademy and St. Stanislaus. We plan to host a Priest Appreciation luncheon with our local parishes and will invite their office staff to attend. On Thursday, our school will once again participate in Career Day with a record number of volunteers. Our volunteers are judges, doctors, nurses, beekeepers, chefs, dentists, oceanographers, youth ministers, priests, entrepreneurs, and engineers along with a vari- ety of others. We have also reached out to our local Chamber of Commerce and law enforcement agents to volunteer. It is going to be a very informative day that will introduce students to a variety of careers and voca- tions to choose from when they “grow up”. On Friday, it will be time to appreciate our wonder- ful faculty and staff! The Ladies Auxiliary of Our Lady of the Gulf along with PTO are teaming up to provide lunch and prayer bouquets to our faculty. We look for- ward to an amazing week full of fellowship and cele- bration to showcase our wonderful Catholic school. Catholic Schools Week January 30 - February 5 O ur L ady A cademy , B ay S t . L ouis ~ P rincipal M arilyn P igott Our Lady Academy (OLA) will observe the annual celebration of Catholic School Week with Masses, activities for students and faculty, and by performing services for the community. A Tri-School Mass will be celebrated with students from Our Lady Academy, St. Stanislaus, and Holy Trinity. OLA students will participate in the celebration of the local community by providing gifts of service. The student body will be represented by their sisterhoods, Hospitality, Diversity, Justice, Stewardship, Integrity and Compassion, and Respect and Dignity. Each sister- hood is made up of representatives from every class and has previously chosen a service project to benefit the community. Their mission is to fulfill their gift of service during this time. In appreciation of the faculty and staff, the OLA PTO will cater a luncheon. In addition, registration for the upcoming 2022- 2022 school year will officially begin on Sunday, January 30. All through the week, students will be treated with special surprises.
