May 3 St. Joseph (Poplarville) Golf Tournament POPLARVILLE -- St. Joseph Parish in Poplarville will hold its inaugural golf tournament on Fri., May 3, at The Oaks Golf Club, 24384 Clubhouse Dr., Pass Christian. The 4-man scramble will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. St. Stanislaus College, Bay St. Louis Seniors Alex Koons and Charlie Whaley were recently admitted to the Center of Manufacturing Excellence (CME) at the University of Mississippi. The CME is a prestigious program designed to provide unique opportunities for students interested in manufacturing. Koons and Whaley represent two of the 50 students selected for this program throughout the United States.
