April 7 Cathedral’s 2019 Concert Series BILOXI -- A Lenten Reflections and Lamentations concert will take place Sun., April 7, 3 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Biloxi. The Music and Fine Arts Ministry of Nativity BVM Cathedral offers a very special program for Lent entitled: Reflections On Holy Week . This is the first offering of the Cathedral’s 2019 Concert Series. This program por- trays the various spiritual, substantial events of Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem and ultimately to the Cross and reflects upon his last utterances there. These scriptural “Lessons” will be shared and then enhanced with choral musical “shadows” reflective of the depth of the moment and the meaning of the sacri- fice. The hour-long program will be pre- sented by Nativity BVM Cathedral’s Civic Choral Society -- “Gloria In Excelsis” along with Mobile, Alabama’s, “Mobile Vocal Arts” Choral Society . The concert service/massed choir will be under the direction of Terry D. Maddox, M.M., the Cathedral’s Minister of Music, Director of Fine Arts. The program is free and open to the public.
