Our Mother of Mercy Parish, Pass Christian
On February 16, the First Communion Candidates along with Father
Bartholomew Endslow, S.S.J.; CCD teachers, Sandra Normand and Madeline
Smith, parents, godparents, grandparents and guardians celebrated the Rite
of Enrollment. The First Communion candidates pictured left, are bottom,
l-r, Richard Dedeaux, Micah McKay, Freddie Lang, Jace Smith, Trenton
Whitworth, Talya Washington, and Sanaa Green. Jayden Acker is not
pictured. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue their commitment
to become a Disciple of Jesus and receive Christ’s Body and Blood through the
Blessed Sacrament of First Holy Communion.
On February 23 at the 9 am Mass, the CCD
teachers of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic
Church honored, l-r, Huey Singleton, Irving
Baker and Anna Mae Swanier for their dedication
to service, community and our Lord. Please keep
these special leaders in your prayers and we pray
that the lives of these honorees will continue to
strengthen and inspire our youth for many years
to come.
Chief Elwin “War Horse” Gillium and the St.
Tammany Native American Tribe of Bonfouca,
Louisiana (Slidell/Lacombe) presented a special
honor to the late Victoria Tate-Pacheco-Webb
as well as other deceased American Indian and
African American loved ones in our parish family
that we have lost and keep in our hearts. The
plaque was received by Joe Piernas on behalf of
our parish and Jewel Tate, Ms. Webb’s niece
