High Fives!
Brandishing bright white
and green jerseys, 12 mem-
bers of the Adolfson & Peter-
son Construction family took
on the Ragnar Relay Series in
Colorado in August, finishing
seventh out of 118 teams in
their division.
Event proceeds went to
support St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital, which is
focused on understanding,
treating and defeating child-
hood cancer and other dead-
ly diseases.
The 194.6-mile relay race
started in Copper Mountain,
looped down through Frisco to
Breckenridge, turned around
for the uphill grind back
through Copper, up and over
Vail Pass, then down through
Vail, Avon and Eagle to Glen-
wood Springs, turning to go
up through Gypsum and end-
ing in Snowmass – all in 28
hours, 25 minutes and 37 sec-
onds.
“You don’t realize how far
that is until you’re driving
back,” said A&P Virtual Con-
struction Manager Nick Young.
Ragnar participants describe
the race as somewhat of a slum-
ber partywithout sleep, pillows
or deodorant that brings people
together to celebrate healthy
living and having fun. There is
no shortage of crazy costumes,
inside jokes and elaborate
van decorating, all for a good
cause.

Adolfson & Peterson Construction employees celebrate “biting off a victory” with their medals following
the recent Ragnar Relay Series.
