C onsiliumDesign’s concept for the Hillside Village at Sun Kingdomwas inspired
by our client’s commitment to create an “essence of lifestyle,” built upon high-
est-quality design, and destined to be the finest residential living in China.
The site has physical characteristics that present opportunities to create a neighbor-
hood design that is unique to Sun Kingdom and Chongqing. Set within the core of
the community and with over 50 meters in elevation, it is highly visible from the
main community entry, the future clubhouse and community facilities, as well as
the surrounding golf course and development. \\
S emper Fit Center at Camp Smith is a state-of-the art 29,949-square-foot, LEED Plati-
numbuilding located at Camp Smith, Hawaii. The facility is used byMarine Corps
andDepartment of Defense personnel inHawaii. D. L. Adams Associates (DLAA) as-
sisted with the design of the AV systems, which included a six-zone, buildingwide pag-
ing and backgroundmusic system, classroomAV systems, two aerobic roomAV systems,
an in-house HDTV channel on a CATV system, the gymnasium sound reinforcement
system, and entertainment integration to the exercise equipment in the fitness area.
In addition, DLAA provided consultation and design services for the acoustics of
the center and extensive analysis and design services for noise and vibration control
of the mechanical systems. The $400,000 AV package was completed by the AV con-
tractor as a fast-track project in just six months. \\
