PROJECT OF THE WEEK • ARCHITECTURE Stantec helps strengthen Rocky Mountain roots for Studley’s regional hub PROJECT OF THE WEEK • CONSTRUCTION Brinkman Construction breaks ground on Formativ’s adaptive reuse development S avills Studley, a commercial real estate services firm, has established an 8,500-square-foot regional office hub in Class-A office space at 1125 17th St. in downtown Denver. The firm’s new office space is designed to reinforce its branding, nurture its corporate culture and support productivity for the 30 employees who office there. Stantec provided interior and lighting design that includes an open plan front-of- house area with a multifunctional café and a lounge adjacent to the boardroom that also serves as flex event space. The design maximizes daylight and mountain views through full-height glass demountable office fronts and leverages a mixture of textures for an industrial yet elegant aesthetic. Connection to its Colorado context is elevated through a custom painted mural wall by local artist Adam Vicarel. P roject team members from Brinkman Construction, OZ Architecture and For- mativ gathered recently to celebrate the groundbreaking of LOT Twenty Eight, an adaptive reuse redevelopment of a historic manufacturing plant in the vi- brant River North neighborhood. Located at the corner of 28th and Blake Street, the 40,000-square-foot mixed-use project will boast innovative spaces for food and drink, retail, creative office and built-in community programming. LOT Twenty Eight is intended to act as a gathering place, bringing together locals, visitors and creatives alike. It will be completed by the end of 2018. Manhard Consulting: Discovery Park M anhard Consulting performed the surveying and civil engineering design for the town of Parker’s Discovery Park, located in the heart of downtown Parker. Manhard supported the town of Parker with services that included survey, roadway alignment, profile and sections, extensive dry utility coordination, wet utility design, and design of wet utility stubs to future sites. The work involved extensive coordination with existing electric transmission lines and design of a large box culvert to improve the conveyance of stormwater for a major drainageway. Summer amenities include a band shell for performances and concerts, a park and plaza, and interactive splash pad fountains. In winter, the meandering park sidewalk is transformed into one of the few ice skating trails in the country, complete with three fire pits.
