In January, the 5,000-acre Gran-

by Ranch in Granby will officially

be on the market.

The Cipriani family, which

acquired the property 22 years

ago, when it was known as Silver

Creek, has opted to sell Granby

Ranch, which since their acquisi-

tion has seen the development of

a golf course, improvements to

skiing, the addition ofmajor infra-

structure and community trails,

building of homes, the securing

of water rights and donation of

land for a medical center, recre-

ation center and affordable hous-


Today, the four-season recre-

ational community with more

than 600 families includes 400

acres for skiing, 34 miles of trails

for hiking and mountain biking,

an 18-hole championship golf

course and more than 3 miles

of private fly-fishing water along

the Fraser River. The community

is entitled for more than 4,300

residential units and 1.3 million

square feet of commercial space,

and is planned for additional rec-

reational amenities.

“After 22 years of heavy lifting,

my family and I have decided

to make a change in our lives. I

personally have been living about

6,000 miles away from my hus-

band of 38 years for over two

decades. My daughter just got

married and wants to start a fam-

ily. So I want to dedicate my time

now to my family and the next

phase of my life,” said Marise

Cipriani, who led the project with

her daughter and CEO, Melissa.

decided to list the Granby Ranch

property for sale beginning Janu-

ary 2018. I feel that the Granby
