One of the first responsibilities of this job is to assign committee members for the upcoming year. Please know that every effort was made to balance the committees with experienced members and new residents as well as to assign volunteers to the committees they requested. There were 41 committee interest forms returned. Thank you for your willingness to participate in guiding our community. This is not only a dedication of time but also a challenging task at times. Some committees were very popular with many volunteers, and some were not as well liked. In order to give all who wish to serve the opportunity it is necessary to rotate the membership of the popular committees. If you are not on the same committee you were on previously, it in no way reflects on how well you did your job. It only means others are being given the chance to serve on that committee for this coming year. Please volunteer again next year if it is a committee you prefer. Another thing to look for in the coming year is a change in the configuration of the board meeting room. In order to facilitate the business at hand, and in order for you to have full advantage of hearing the discussions of the issues, the board table will be turned and the seating will be on both sides of the room.
