Apparently there was a fairly large crowd there, and many of them walked out. This was not the first time there had been problems, sometimes resulting in the canceling of the movie, and I received quite a number of phone calls, e-mails and face-to-face complaints about the situation. Since June of 2014 when the Board of Directors voted to pay the copyright fees required, and Windsor Gardens began showing movies, there have been several problems resulting in the upgrading of the projection equipment and installation of a new sound system. After this latest malfunction, which seemed to be the result of the volunteers’ unfamiliarity with the equipment, I spoke with both General Manager Tami Bonner and Activities Director Cari Ervin and suggested that we might want to consider hiring a professional to operate the equipment on movie night. Cari told me she had personally gone over the equipment and had both upgraded and simplified the instructions.
