Momentum is building for a 779-unit self-storage facility in Fort Collins. A groundbreaking recently was held for Momentum Fort Collins Self-Storage, a three-story, state-of-the-art facility at 1057 S. Buckingham St., just off North Lemay Avenue, behind Fort Collins Brewery. The facility, encompassing more than 100,000 square feet, will offer a mix of ambient and climate-controlled storage units. “We chose the location after extensive analysis of data from the Fort Collins market,” said Jeff Temple, principal of Momentum Development LLC. “Fort Collins is growing very quickly. Our location is not only on brewery row, making the end of our workday more fun, but is close to new apartments and single-family construction. “We love Fort Collins and have been actively looking for the opportunity to develop there,” he said. Momentum Fort Collins is an approximately $12 million development expected to be completed on a 6.3-acre site early next summer. Geared to residential, commercial and small-business customers, it will include an on-site Customer Service Center with free Wi-Fi and a self-serve coffee bar. Smaller companies will be able to store inventory, records or goods in climate-controlled units with the opportunity to use Wi-Fi to check email and handle orders. McCauley Constructors is the design-builder, teaming with designer Galloway USA as the architect and engineering firm for the project, which will be managed by Cube Smart. “Fulfillment of every customer’s moving, storing and assisting in their business needs is the goal at Momentum Fort Collins Storage,” said Temple. “The facility will be professionally managed and will offer a complete line of boxes and packing supplies for both residential and business customers. Commercial deliveries and large-scale residential moves are no problem with Momentum Fort Collins’ loading areas and easy access to the facility.” Other News McWhinney recently announced several soon-to-open and recently opened tenants, as well as lease renewals and expansions, at its 3,000-acre Centerra development at interstate 25 and U.S. Highway 34 in Loveland.
