World-class media facility to take center stage in Parker

A 70-acre, world-class sound stage, media production and technology facility is set to take center stage in Parker.

In August, Gov. John Hickenlooper announced the Redbarre Media and Technology Campus, a mixed-use 1.9 million square-foot destination focused on the development, production and distribution of digital content as well as fostering advanced technology research and development. The campus will enable feature film, television and digital media creators and crews an unfettered data centric production environment in metro Denver.

“I’m proud to be standing with leading film and television executives, digital media and technology representatives to announce that full-scale media production capacity is finally coming to Colorado,” said Hickenlooper. “The Redbarre Media Technology Campus will include its flagship, a 75,000-square-foot world-class sound stage. The campus will be a great addition to the Colorado economy and put us right at the forefront of the next generation of media creation.”

“With an emphasis on galvanizing creativity, the campus will offer a 1.9 million-square-foot, mixed-use destination unlike anything in North America,” added Don Levy, CEO of Redbarre. “The campus is designed to foster innovation, where media and technology intersect and provide media creators and crews with an unfettered access to multi-terabits of bandwidth in and out of Colorado. It’s an ambitious project, and we are thrilled to be working with the state of Colorado and town of Parker to facilitate this.”

The project will be located just north of E-470 and west of Chambers Road. The master planned campus will include a data/network operations center and onsite internet service provider, multiple recording studios, an outdoor performance venue, a Class A office complex with co-working and flex space, retail, office and a working backlot. Plans to construct a boutique hotel, with fine dining, and a conference center also are slated.

Redbarre’s campus is projected to create more than 4,000 jobs along the Colorado Front Range beginning as early as 2020. Construction is tentatively set for late 2018 with the full build-out estimated to be completed in 36 to 42 months.
