JE Dunn Construction completes Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial

The Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial is a national monument located in Colorado Springs. The memorial is at the center of a ceremony held each September that brings visitors from around the country to honor the sacrifice made by professional firefighters and emergency personnel who have given their lives in the line of duty. Originally erected in 1986 by the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), this reconstruction of the memorial reorients the site to take advantage of the majestic views of Pikes Peak, adds space to accommodate more than 5,000, includes a more prominent entry, and features new granite Honor Walls surrounding the sculpture, in which are etched a total of 11,500 names in memoriam
